Tencent is raising the bar for AI-generated 3D modeling with Hunyuan 3D 3.0, its most advanced system yet. With triple the accuracy of its predecessor and voxel counts reaching 3.6 billion, it offers serious firepower to developers and artists working across games, animation, and virtual production.
Hunyuan 3D 3.0 enhances accuracy with voxel-level control
One of the biggest upgrades in Hunyuan 3D 3.0 is its ability to output at up to 1536³ resolution, generating up to 3.6 billion voxels per model. That kind of detail pushes it into serious production territory, especially when paired with Tencent’s layered generation system, known as 3D-DiT hierarchical carving.
Rather than producing everything at once, the model builds geometry in logical stages. This avoids the warping, stiffness, and bizarre anatomical errors often seen in other AI-generated models.
Realistic character modeling in Hunyuan 3D 3.0
The improvements go beyond numbers. Characters created with Hunyuan 3D 3.0 now feature:

For studios and professionals, Tencent is testing Hunyuan 3D Studio, a more advanced suite with:

Currently, Studio access is invite-only, but Tencent is accepting sign-ups.
